Acuriant Technologies, Inc. and PureGen Classic Sdn. Bhd. have signed a contract for a semiconductor wastewater reclamation project in Malaysia. The contract was signed by Jürgen von Hollen, CEO of Acuriant Technologies, and KC Loh, CEO of PureGen Classic, at Singapore International Water Week 2026.

The project will deploy Nanostone ceramic ultrafiltration technology to support the reclamation and reuse of wastewater generated from semiconductor manufacturing operations.

Why ceramic UF for semiconductor water reuse

Semiconductor manufacturing demands consistent, high-quality treated water under challenging operating conditions. Nanostone ceramic membrane technology is suited to these applications due to its durability, chemical resistance and ability to deliver reliable long-term performance — capabilities that make ceramic ultrafiltration an increasingly preferred choice for critical water reuse applications.

As Malaysia strengthens its position as one of Southeast Asia's leading semiconductor hubs, manufacturers are increasingly focused on improving water resilience, enhancing operational efficiency and meeting evolving sustainability objectives.

A growing partnership

"We are delighted to strengthen our collaboration with PureGen through this important project," said Jürgen von Hollen. "Water sustainability and resource efficiency are becoming strategic priorities for the semiconductor industry. Together, we aim to provide solutions that help manufacturers reduce their environmental footprint while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence."

KC Loh added: "Our collaboration with Acuriant reflects our dedication to bringing innovative and reliable water treatment solutions to Malaysia's industrial sector and supporting our customers in achieving their sustainability goals."
